Events Diary 2008
Well summer is almost here (even though we had an arctic burst of snow at the weekend!), so I’m getting round to compiling a list of classic car and Ferrari owners’ club events I’ll probably go to in 2008.

Steve, just bought an 83 Mondial. Do you know what the real-life timing belt replacement interval should be?
Also, does your Mondial have tubular fuses or the more modern wafer type?
If you can’t answer, do you know who can?
Thank you,

Hi Fred,
The general consensus appears to be 3-5 years, or 30k miles if you somehow manage to drive that much before the above interval. Most people seem to go for a 3 year change (the same time interval as a major service, so would make sense to get both done at the same time).
My 85 Mondial uses standard (ATO?) blade fuses (not the mini blade fuses found on more recent cars).
Hope this helps,
Steve

Dear Steve
I’m writing from France. I bought a ’84 quatrovalvole Mondial last year and I really have great time when I use it. I’ve got a problem with my flashing lights which don’t work, as well as the hazard light. I’ve bought a new flasher unit but can find its location in the car. Could you or anyone help me?
Thanks for that great blog Steve. A bientôt!!

Salut Jean!
Thanks for reading my blog! I did a quick search on http://www.eurospares.co.uk for “INTERMITTENZA ELETTRONICA” (I’m guessing this is Italian for flasher unit?) and found the Mondial fusebox diagram, and also several diagrams for the 308, so maybe one of these will help:
Mondial QV 1984
308 GTB QV 1985
308 GTB 1980
If these don’t help then try asking on the Club Scuderia forum
