Hi, I just fixed my passenger window on my Mondial T in about half an hour at a cost of about a fiver. The problem is indeed a poor earth but you don't need a particularly complicated black box, a simple auto relay, 3 piggy back spade terminals and 3 simple connectors and a bit of tape. I can send a picture if anyone is interested. Basically you determine which of the two wires (the black on mine) is supposed to be earthed when the window is going up, mine had about 3 volts on it. Connect the relay with the coil between the other (green) and the door so it is only powered when the window is going up and the contacts between the door and the black so it shorts it to earth. The earth is adequate when the window is going down as there's much less load so no need for anything more complex. Also, you don't need to remove the rear lower door interior panel to do it.

Hi Dennis,

The Mondial t has the engine mounted longitudinally, so usually requires the engine out for a timing belt change. Earlier Mondials (3.2/Qv/8) have a transverse engine, allowing access via one of the rear wheel arches.

I have a 1984 Mondial 8 QV and with a 10W-40 grade oil, at idle speed, the oil gauge pressure warns low pressure.
With a 10W-50 grade oil it doesn´t happen.

Hi Alex,

I'm not sure that you can find the exhaust from the main site, drop EuroSpares an email, try james[at]eurospares.co.uk

Thanks for your reply
